Elly for Aly

Here’s introducing my favourite children’s clothing store in the whole wide world – Elly! I’m a huge supporter of local designers and Elly is actually started and run by two sisters, Audrey and Carol, in Singapore.

I love everything about Elly – the cute elephant logo, the concept behind Elly, the comfortable fabric which they use for the children’s clothes, the pretty and fun fabric designs and the amazing looking shopfront at cluny court. Oh, the owners of Elly are also super nice and helpful!

I finally found the chance to head down to cluny court two weeks ago because I wanted to buy Aly a dress from there for a family photoshoot. I must admit I had a very difficult time resisting buying the entire rack of clothes. The fabric designs are SUPER DUPER CUTE. Mums with boys should totally check out Elly because they have got shirts for boys in equally colorful and fun fabric designs. My favourite has got to be the all in a day’s work shirt which features pictures of the washing machine, milk bottle and toaster, and peppered with “mummy mummy” and “I just pood and peed”. Hilarious. I don’t think I can find anything like that anywhere else in Singapore. I bought Aly a twinkle dress at first but had to exchange it for a wonderland dress in paper hats design (which is really cute by the way – basically features graphic instructions on how to fold a paper hat) because the twinkle dress was a little big. I am loving their summer collection and think I will have to head back there soon!

Do check out their website and their blog. I’m sure everyone can find something there for someone 😛

More about the family photoshoot I had with Steph Tan Photography in a separate post, but here’s a picture from the shoot – Aly in the wonderland dress. <;;3
