Mid autumn festival

Mid autumn festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month and it’s a day of reunions, mooncakes, Chinese tea, pomelos and most importantly, lanterns!!

The festival brings back fond childhood memories. I remember playing with candles and sparklers along the corridor outside my home. I also remember bugging my parents to buy me all the pretty lanterns and always looked forward to taking walks around our neighborhood with our lanterns.

That’s exactly what we did today! Brought Aly for a short walk with paper lanterns. We obviously did not allow her to carry a lit one but nevertheless she was pretty excited about her new toy!

Happy mid autumn festival everyone!
