Our weekend

This weekend was really great for a variety of reasons.

We didn’t do much. I woke up late on Saturday, drove to the airport with Aly to pick ys up, and headed to the Singapore night festival.

Today was also ordinary. We slept in till 9 plus, had lunch at tanglin mall, brought Aly to her Gymboree class and that was pretty much it.

But because there was nothing planned, for the first time in many weekends, we could really just relax and spend time as a family. We even managed to sneak in some time for a Prata date and some furniture shopping.

We spent a lot of time in our little apartment, watching Aly flip around, laughing at her, together with her, playing toys with her. We also really enjoyed her class today. She’s finally starting to crawl (yay!) so we are really pleased. She’s been really vocal and have been making all sorts of amusing noises.

From all the smiles and laughter coming from Aly, I think she enjoyed this weekend as much as we did.

I’m looking forward to the next weekend already 🙂

Singapore Night Festival 2012

It’s our second time back at the Singapore Night Festival! My first time was 2010, and I remember we enjoyed ourselves a great deal. I would go as far to say that this is one of the most exciting events on Singapore’s calendar of events.

The whole bras basah area comes to life with art and light installations, performances, exhibitions and light displays. It’s as if there is a surprise waiting at every corner. The museums open late into the middle of the night and admission is free!

Of course Aly didn’t really appreciate much of it since she hates the dark and loud noises but I’m looking forward to bringing her to one of these events when she’s older.

I didn’t get to take that many pictures since it was really crowded but here are my favorite pictures of the night.
